31 Bed Acute Care Hospital

Kane Community Hospital is a 31-bed acute care rural hospital licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. KCH's active and consulting medical staff and services provide a broad base of primary care and specialties including: cardiology, community wellness, emergency medicine, family medicine, gynecology, home health care, internal medicine, occupational medicine, urology, oncology/outpatient chemotherapy, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain medicine, pathology, podiatric medicine, radiology, rehabilitation services and surgery.

Community Based

KCH is Community-based primary care. The KCH health network includes community based clinics in six communities (Johnsonburg, Kane, Mt. Jewett, Ridgway, and Sheffield) in a three county region (McKean, Elk, and Warren).

KCH Health Network

The KCH health network is augmented by Home Health services, community wellness programs (including regular blood pressure. stroke risk, flu shot clinics, and community fairs, partnered multiphasic screenings, school programs and athletic training), an occupational medicine program (serving the corporate health needs of business and industry in our communities)and public health forums. Those requiring medical or surgical care may be treated as inpatients or outpatients. Our medical or surgical unit or intensive care/critical care unit treats inpatients, our short procedure unit, outpatients. The medical staff is aided in the delivery of care through the various clinical departments who provide diagnostic, therapeutic services, and KCH Home Health Care.

Leading Edge Diagnostics

KCH offers state of the art care and services with the latest and least invasive, most effective diagnostics and treatments, techniques and procedures. Surgical services offer minimally invasive procedures, most done same day on an outpatient basis making it convenient, and cost effective. Those requiring a extended stays for skilled care such as strengthening or extensive rehabilitation may be kept beyond the usual care stage as Swing Bed patients. The Swing Bed program was designed to provide the additional days of care required beyond the acute care stage of recovery. It allows the patient to receive skilled care at a substantial cost reduction.
