John Malone Honored at American Cancer Society Event
The American Cancer Society (ACS) honored Mr. Malone for his 37 years in health care and support of ACS’s mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
“I am very humbled and honored to have been chosen as this year’s honoree,” Mr. Malone said.
“The success of this event will hopefully, along with similar efforts around the country, play a role in making us all closer to the day when we will be free from the tragedy, suffering, loss, and anguish with this horrible disease.”
This year’s event raised a record-breaking $150,000! Proceeds from this tournament will directly benefit the Erie community through cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
