UPMC Hamot audiologists serve patients of all ages and provide a variety of diagnostic services related to the auditory and balance systems.
The Audiology Department is staffed with audiologists who, when combined, have more than 50 years experience in hearing healthcare services. Each audiologist holds a master’s degree or doctoral in audiology and communication disorders and is state licensed in both audiology and hearing aid dispensing.
Following a comprehensive assessment, the audiologist will recommend appropriate treatment including hearing aids and other amplification devices, if indicated. They offer the latest digital hearing aid technology and provide follow-up care and repairs.
UPMC Hamot audiologists are specialized in pediatric assessments. The Audiology Department is a Pennsylvania Department of Health approved site for newborn hearing screening follow-ups and infant diagnostic testing.
